Welcome to Echolink Information Server (E.L.I.S), live spoken travel information for Englands motorway network covering all motorways in England (Note Data for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland not available at time of writing). In addition, it introduces a whole host of other features from timed announcements; weather info, receive acknowledgement tones and a custom radio interface. This is a client application which communicates with the APRS Travel server via the internet. Small encrypted data files are passed between server and client and using Microsoft Speech they are converted into audio on receipt of select DTMF codes received by Echolink.
E.L.I.S is developed by Daniel Collinson G7SUH and remains freeware.
